So I was under the impression that this week we would be focusing on IV insertion and CVL changes. This is true, except we also were doing catheters. I came in without having watched the tutorial, but it honestly probably wouldn't have mattered... those tutorials only can teach me so much.
Luckily, there were a few girls from more advanced cohorts in the room to help. I broke sterility about 20,000 times but have a pretty good idea about what to do.
To be honest, I'm very--EXTREMELY-- agitated and apprehensive about the lack of organization and structure with the lab. We don't have any check-off sheets which surprised the girl that was helping my group. And apparently for validations, each instructor has her own idea of how something should be done and will take off points/fail you if you don't do it their own specific way. I really just wish there was a uniform way to do these things.
